10/9/2010 EMC moved us from San Ramon to San Francisco. A fairly straightforward move since we had already boxed everything ready to go - but we were moving from a 3rd floor apartment so there was a lot of stairs to navigate. The three guys showed up 10 minutes early and worked right through without taking a break. They were very polite and took care of our stuff - perhaps not to the level of the white-gloved full service removalists but you're going to need to pay 3 times as much for that. On the move into the new apartment there was some difficulty getting the sofa into the lounge room (large sofa, small doorway). The guys were very patient and persevered with a number of different ideas before finally getting it in successfully. As a result there were a couple of chips to the (very soft) door frame paintwork - so one chap immediately ran down to the truck and did a great job mixing the exact paint color match and touching up the chips. After reading other reviews I was worried about the whole tipping thing and whether there would be any unpleasantness but all I can say is that we tipped what we thought the guys deserved and they we very polite and appreciative. Highly recommend EMC. We'll use them again for our next move. |
