I'm very dissatisfied with Movers On Duty. First, they wrapped every possible item so that they could charge for the pricey materials and for the wasted time. The movers then damaged a piece of my furniture, for which the head mover refused to take responsibility. I made note of the damage (admittedly, it was not severe) on the moving form prior to signing off, and finally got the head mover to sign the form. The head mover told me to contact the owner to resolve the issue. After emailing the owner twice, I was informed that he was out of town and would respond as soon as he returned. Several weeks later, the owner did call and we agreed to try and resolve the issue without getting the insurance companies involved. Five email attempts later, I still had no resolution. Finally, he emailed me that he was out of the country for a couple of weeks and that we would settle the issue when he returned. Needless to say, I never heard back from him again, despite another follow-up email. My move occurred in April 2010 and I still have no resolution, 6 months later. It has been an aggravating experience. I will never use their services again. |
