Just hired these guys to do my move. I was worried that paying by the hour, the price could easily run up on me, and that I might regret not going with a flat rate mover. However, these guys worked fast, were very nice, and finished right at the minimum 3 hour hire for the whole move. In the end, it came to substantially less than the quotes I was getting from others, including flatrate. Based on this experience, I have realized that many moving companies go by the amount of stuff you move, so if you add a desk, it will add up your charge, even if that only adds another 2 minutes to the whole move. I think hourly is the way to go. Of course, it helps to make it easy on them by having everything well-packed and ready to go. |
