I called Randy Bond and received a quote to transport my daughter's car from Seattle to her in Connecticut. I had not signed up with ATS, but within 24 hours he called me back to say he had lined up a hauler who would be leaving our area in 48 hours. Other transport brokers would not even discuss departure dates until we had signed on. ATS required a small deposit that would not be charged until the car had arrived, and the balance was to be paid to the hauler. Randy also gave me lots of useful advice about how to prep the car, for which I was very grateful. Everything went smoothly except that I had to drive 40 miles to meet the hauler. This was a result of where we live, the hauler's schedule, and no fault of ATS. The car was delivered to its destination in less than a week with no apparent signs of mishandling or travel damage. The only hitch was when they called my daughter and told her they would drop it off at 1 AM! This required a shift in the drop-off location and the company was very accommodating. My anxious daughter called the hauling company a couple of times on this and found them very easy to deal with. Overall, we are very satisfied. The price was only average, but Randy went out of his way to line up very competent haulers without the assurance of a signed agreement. The only down note is that Randy appears to be the only point of contact at ATS and isn't always available by phone. |
