I have so much to say about this company. I unfortunately hired them to move my belongings from NYS to Missouri. The whole experience was so upsetting and it became so obvious that the company did not care about me or my belongings. Ron originally gave me a quote, he seemed like a nice enough guy from the beginning, and his quote seemed decent enough, a little over 3000.00, which I had to put 50% down right away. He did a quote over the phone. I was telling him what I had from memory because I was actually not at home myself. Little did I realize that I would never again talk to Ron again. Afterwards I realized I had more stuff that I forgot and I called back and this time spoke with a Girl named Cassidy. She sounded very young and again seemed nice enough I was then quoted a price of around 5400.00. I figured that was fair enough and I believed I told her pretty much everything that we had, so I figured all my belongings would be moved. You told them what you wanted moved and they figured out a rough estimation of how many square footage that would take up and charge accordingly per square foot. They said that if it came to more square feet the driver would add on additional charges. I had a bunch of big items that I told them about including a weight bench, some shelves, some beds, some snowboards, some bikes, some ladders, and a bbq. Supposedly they added all these items in and gave me a rough square footage price. I personally believe that they gave the smallest square footage for your items initially so they can give you the most attractive price initially and then surprise you with the big number when they get to your house. After they had about $2700 of my money it was too late to back out, even though I couldn’t get a solid date they were coming to pick up the stuff. That’s when Frank came into the picture. He was supposed to be in charge of moving and he was supposed to be the one coming to our house to move the stuff. Took about a week to get a date from him when they were coming. Finally on the day that they were supposed to show up they get there about four hours late, no big deal, they said they got caught in traffic. Frank was not present btw, three other guys came. Two of the guys were pretty nice but the one in charge just seemed super unprofessional, no eye contact, mumbled everything and just seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. We had moved all our items to the living room and kitchen all on the first floor, all boxed and ready to go, all they had to do was move it three steps out to the truck. After several hours and loading a small amount of our stuff he says that we have used up all our square footage and if we want him to continue loading we will have to pay more. I argued with him a little bit and told him I don’t think that is right because I already paid them extra to take more of our stuff. He says we paid for 500 sq feet I look in my emails it says 1000 sq feet. I ask him to contact the office, he says he is unable to reach them . I get on the phone and call Cassidy , she talked to them on MY phone and straightens it out. The guy doesn’t even apologize he just says they will continue to load. After a couple more hours says we have again used up all our Square footage even though all my big belongings have not been loaded, my bbq, ladders, beds, bikes, snowboards, shelves, a toy car that kids ride on. All these things are on my contract but of course they conveniently don’t fit because of the square footage issue and they are trying to get more money from me, all the while, the truck wasn't even half full. At this point I just want these unprofessional guys out of my house and I’m tired of arguing with them about the square footage issue, so I say no I will get my own truck for the rest of my stuff. Ok fine. So then they tell me that I have to make the second payment that I already paid to Cassidy because apparently they have no record of the payment. I argue with them about that, I attempted to call Cassidy again, no luck the office is closed now. Finally reach Frank on the phone who says “ not that I don’t believe you that you made the payment but you are going to have to make that payment again and then we will take it off the final bill”. So fine I make that payment again and they drive off with our stuff. It’s only at that time do I realize that they are not driving our stuff straight to Missouri! What they told me originally was “That’s the way Frank usually does it is that he drives it straight to the destination.” So now we realize our stuff is going to some warehouse in New Jersey and we will basically get it when they feel like delivering it. That’s when they start with all the legal stuff about they have so many days to deliver our stuff and so forth and about how we signed the contract. Which unfortunately is true that I signed a contract but I definitely feel like I was led to believe that they would be bringing our stuff right out. Well I pestered them to get a delivery date which they would not give me for weeks. At this point I could no longer get a hold of Ron or Cassidy they were out sick FOR WEEKS. With Covid going around I’m sure that’s possible but even so never heard from Cassidy or Ron again at that point even with all the emails and voicemails I left them. Now I have to deal with Lisa who makes it pretty clear she does not want to hear from me. It’s basically you get your stuff when you get it and we will not give you a date when you will get your stuff. I called a bunch of times and most of the time no one called me back. Finally when I emailed about how I felt like we had been swindled I got an email back from Lisa. This went on for a while. Anyway I believe it was 27 days later we finally received our stuff. The guys who brought our stuff were the nicest people in the company, however our stuff looked like it went through hell. Boxes were torn up, all our stuff was scratched. One of our tvs was broken , a computer screen was cracked and it seemed like we were missing stuff. My wife reached out to Frank about the tv and he referred us to the nonexistent front office. I sent Lisa an email did not hear back from her, was so sick of talking to her anyway because it was pretty obvious she did not care about us at all. Then it became very clear to us as we slowly unpacked that we were missing a bunch of boxes, probably 5 or 6 boxes and some very important stuff. Anyway one of the worst experiences of my life. It has been almost three months since we got our stuff back and it is probably too late to do an insurance claim because supposedly we were covered by some type of insurance. I’m pretty sure this company would try not to cover it but if they read this review and want to make good then I would be willing to take this review down. They have some making up to do though and I doubt they're interested In doing that. |
