This would be zero stars if possible. My wife and I moved from CO to CA, we had a pick-up date set and finalized. Less than 24 hours before our pick-up time we were notified by Marty that they would be 2 or more days late. Our realtor helped us to get an in town moving company and a u-haul to store our belongings since we had to vacate on the day of the house closing. Marty, at first, acknowledged responsibility and proposed a partial refund but that quickly changed once we pursued the refund. In the following three weeks Marty has stated that they would refund the price of 480 dollars which was the price incurred for in town movers and u-haul storage. However, after sometime no refund came through and silence from Western Van Lines, I began to investigate. Now Marty has lied to multiple employees saying they only offered 250 dollars also stating that this is the agreed amount on recorded calls. Marty has also failed to call us back for almost two weeks and now blocked our phone number. The company continues to say they never agreed to any price and now is trying to lie about their taped phone calls. We also had to coordinate our own move and relay our pick-up dates and logistics to various drivers ever since the initial pick-up date was missed. I would not recommend dealing with this company, they are overpriced and use predatory bait-and-switch tactics. |
