These people were great. Honest and good movers. Very professional. They gave me an up front estimate of $85/hr + materials (when paying with credit card), and this did not change in any way. I got 2 guys for the move. They were well experienced also. This is important because experienced movers are better at making sure there is absolutely no damage to your items during the move. One of the guys is African-American and the other guy is Latino. Again, they were very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and hard working. They wrapped my furniture very well. Watching them wrap my furniture, I was very confident there would be no damage. They moved my stuff into a newly built house (new construction). They gave a lot of attention not to cause any damage to the new house. I have hardwood floors, so they laid down some furniture pads on the floor to protect it. My bedroom furniture had to go upstairs on the 2nd floor and the furniture is big and heavy. They did a very good job of making sure nothing on the stairway got damaged. They hand carried the heavy, bulky items up the stairs which was very impressive. When everything was done, the guys were drenched in sweat. They worked very hard for the money and were well desiring of it. They spent 5 hours wrapping and moving my furniture onto/off of the truck. Drive time was 3 hours (you double the drive time). So 5 hours + 2x(3 hours) = 11 hours. They only charged me for a total of 10 hours + materials (10 rolls of moving tape + crate wrapping my 60 big screen TV for $70). I paid (with credit card) around $950 total for the entire move, including a tip. There is no way it could have been less hours with 2 people doing the move without any damage. I would recommend these people over anyone else I have had moving experience with. |
