Judging from the other reviews, these guys aren't good for longer distance moves, but I moved within San Francisco and everything turned out well. Maybe they contract out? There were a few things that would prevent an 5 star rating: I got a call they day before asking if I could do the move that day (really, like I'd be ready to move the day before I'd scheduled it? at the drop of a hat? no) but then they put me in the schedule for the next day at a time tha worked for me. I'd prefer more notice than the day before, but...; I packed MOST of my stuff, but the stuff they packed went into boxed willy nilly. It was mostly stuff that didn't matter, good thing; the charge was 50 bucks over the estimate, but by that point, I didn't really care. The good: they guys were very quick and very friendly. They didn't charge for an extra stop and it that worked out very well for me since I had bought a bed off Craigslist and had to go across town to pick it up. They were pretty much on time and were very careful not to scratch the bed they picked up and my furniture and tv.. Overall, good experience and I know I would have paid more if I had gone with any of the other highly rated Yelp companies, that couldn't even fit me in on the day I needed. You have to plan waaay in advance for those companies.... |
