One should take into account Kristie's review before you hire a mover, although since I didn't check Yelp ahead of time I went with these guys. It actually went fine. It definitely is one guy, early 20's, and probably whoever else he hires to come move things. The number listed is his cell phone number and he's very non-chalant. Kudos to him on starting his own business, but professionalism would advance him much further. I hired them to help me unload a moving truck. Made an appointment earlier in the week and they showed up at the right spot, right on time. The gentlemen that showed up looked more like someone I'd catch stealing rims off my car than who I'd want handling all my personal belongings, but to their credit they were straightforward and did a pretty solid job. For 2 guys it was $60/hr (they include their travel time to/from the location in the time they charge you for), with a 2 hour minimum. I helped a bit and we got all the stuff for a large 1 bedroom apartment unloaded in a little over 2 hours, so it came to $150 with travel time. It's hard to find good help these days without overpaying, and at least for me, it was the right people at the right price, but your results may vary. |
