Spartan Van line packers that presented to move my items where super. They were respectful, responsible and efficient. This would be an 5 star review if it was based on the 2 man crew that showed up on 11/30/18. The two of them seemed like 4 movers were there. However, after my items were loaded I was informed they would not be delivering my belongings and the foreman for the move asked me to sign not allowing me to read what I was to sign stating I have to go I'm tired. Let me move on. I was told at the time of placing this order 2-10 days for delivery, at that time i informed the representative if the move would take 5 days I would not be interested. Kelly the representative assured me it wouldn't, due to moving season and I would receive them in 2 days. She appeared helpful and concerned when and while trying to get the order, but after movers were at my home she appeared to lose her compassion and enthusiasm to speak with me. How about this!!! when I received my call to give final count of boxes and items my price was increased by over $500 and when the movers showed for pickup I was informed the price would increase another $1800, because i had bulky furniture and boxes larger than moving boxes they use. I reminded them I am not a mover and was not informed of required box sizes.I informed her and movers i would not be using their service and they could leave.Several calls were made back and forth between mover and Susan.It appeared they were trying to convince me to stick with the job after more than an hour of not accepting NO move would take place due to change in cost and information.Before leaving lead mover received a call informing him it was approved to move my belongings at 2nd price given at time of item check list on 11/28/18 and mover started the job. Once again my Complaint is not with them.They were awesome and tipped for a job well performed. On Tuesday 12/4 I received a call regarding my scheduled delivery. I was informed my first scheduled date to receive items was 12/3,but they have up to 30 days to do so I was confused and upset. I have been very sick for the past 3 months, which was in my notes with this agency. It is no way I would have accepted these terms when I am in need of bedding, other items and medicines on that truck. I traveled with a weeks worth with expectations of receiving my things. It is now 12/11/18 and I still have not heard from them with a date of delivery. I have called and emailed them and responses have been NEGATIVE. THE DISPATCH manager had no information and informed me to refer to Spartan's contract. Moreover, offered no assistance telling me my items were placed in a warehouse in the state i moved from Maryland and waiting for a full trailer coming this direction before it would be transported. He also informed me when I asked my options I could pick them up from the warehouse they were storing my belongings at, but I am still required to pay full fee and would not receive any money back. I have paid all my requirements for my furniture to be delivered to me. I have called and emailed several times for updates with no one answering my call, but receiving an email from Susan from message left on her voicemail informing me she has no information on a day for delivery for my belongings. I don't know of anyone who would agree to their items being picked up from their home and placed in a warehouse in city moving from 900 miles away from the new home when they are in need of their furniture. BEWARE of this process used by this company. This is the 11th day of my furniture being in the possession of Spartan Van line and i still have no information regarding delivery day. I am now believing they are holding my furniture on purpose and it was the plan for not accepting an $1800 increase. I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau. It is sad these people are allowed to do this to a customer. I NEED MY FURNITURE and it appears they care less about my needs as a paid customer |
