Being repeatedly harassed via text and phone call is not how one does business. Bill Baggett, senior account manager of Smart Van-Lines, was incredibly vindictive and immature in his interaction with me. Baggett called me to ask if I still needed moving services for my vehicle and/or personal effects, services that would entail transport from Central Florida to California. I explained to him that I found another company but he proceeded to question my decision to go with another carrier. At that point, i hung up abruptly since I was assisting a family member with both traffic and an eventual parking procedure before a doctor's appointment. This was not out of malice on my part, as I wanted to appropriately redirect my attention. Shortly afterwards, Mr. Baggett called me; however I did not answer. What followed was an incredibly unprofessional and immature response from Mr. Baggett via text. The tone, content, and persistence of Mr. Baggett's text messages were wildly unprofessional and I hope that such behavior is not reflective of the rest of this moving company's enterprise. |
