I have moved well over 15 times as an adult and I cannot recommend this moving company. The sales service is great. A representative physically came to my house to see what I had to move. When the truck arrived I was concerned on moving day. The truck was not large enough to close the doors and my two TemperPedic mattresses (which are never supposed to be vertical) were vertically tied on to the back, exposed if it would rain. My items were taken to their storage facility. I was offered originally 90 days free storage. At the time, I did not think I would need 90 days so I told them 60 and I would let them know my final plans. As it turned out, I needed 1.5 months and not 90 days. I also ended up moving a significantly shorter distance than originally planned however they would only knock $250 off their quote (even though it was a three hour in state drive verses the quoted 8+ hour out of state drive). Damage was unbelievable. My antique china cabinet was damaged to the point the glass door physically fell off after they left. My antique Edison player was damaged, another antique cabinet was damaged and glass to a large picture was totally shattered. The movers packed these items with the exception of the picture with glass. Their claim process is through a 3rd party only. In my past moves if there was any damage, the mover would send a repair person to complete repairs in lieu of mounds of paperwork, repair quotes, pictures, emails, etc. You never get a human being to talk to during the claim process either as they only use emails. Very frustrating. I will never use this company again. |
