My wife and I are moving from central Iowa to Fort Collins Colorado. It is just the two of us and we are down sizing going from a three bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment. I collected several quotes and decided on Quest for $2,600. When I spoke with Danielle from Quest she was very helpful and assured me she would be there for us through out the move. I then put down a $945 deposit with my credit card. A week before the scheduled pick up I received an email with a welcome package. This email came from another customer service person Shakarra, so Danielle was not there for us like she had promised. The payment was requested to be either cashier check or cash, this should have been the first red flag.Also I was then told that my stuff might not arrive at my new home until ten days after my set delivery date of July 2nd. This welcome packet as well as in the email was filled with special instructions on how to pack and how your furniture was to be made ready. If these specifications are not met you will be charged. I was told and quoted a price for disassembling all my furniture, moving it, and reassemble it in the new apartment. Now I�m being told that my mattress needs to be bagged, furniture wrapped, and a list that goes on. How can I prepare everything to meet those specifications and still have Quest disassemble my furniture. There goal is to come to your home find you �unprepared� so they can charge extra for their packing material and labor. Well the scheduled pickup day came and I had some questions so I called Quest, the call went straight to voice mail. I left a voicemail and then also sent emails to Shakarra and Danielle, This was in the morning. I tried through out the day to make contact but no response by phone or email. Finally I called late afternoon and spoke with Shakarra, she informed me that the truck was still coming that day so I waited but no truck and no call. The next day my wife tried to call but got a phone number for a different moving company out of Florida also named Quest. They were an in state movers but they explained the huge problem they have had since Quest Moving, LLC had moved into the area. It seems that Quest Moving, LLC had such a negative and dishonest track record that it has has a negative business impact on this company with a similar name. We then finally got ahold of someone from Quest Moving, LLC and ask if the truck would be coming that day. Shakarra told me that she was unaware that the truck didn�t pickup the day before. She told us she would find out right away and call us. One and a half hours later nothing. We called back and spoke with Whitney. We received nothing but excuses. We were basically told that we signed a contract and they could do whatever they wanted and we had to live with their timelines. I asked to speak to the owner but was rudely told absolutely not. Later in the afternoon we received a call from the driver telling us that they probably would not make it that day but would try the next day. We made the decision to cancel Quest services. I made the mistake of not doing my homework and researching enough. After doing further research on Quest it�s clear that they are in business to scam people. Quest had a list of complaints with the Better Business Bureau so long it�s a miracle that they are able to stay in business. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Quest Moving, LLC. They are unreputable , unreliability, and unethical. I am working with a lawyer to get our deposit back. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as possible and if you have had a similar experience with Quest Moving, LLC post your review and log a complaint with BBB. This company is not legit and no one deserves to be taken by them. All of the other reviews on this site are made up or paid for by Quest. |
