Worst service ever!!! I have had professional movers for 7 state to state moves while in the military and this experience was one I want to help others not experience. They do not show on time (hours late) and their rented U-Haul trucks break down in route to out of state moves. The cost was to be $4000 for a move from San Antonio, Texas to Maryland. Half payment up front (cash only) and the other half upon delivery. Alex would not return any of my calls when I could not get in contact with him for the delivery. He emailed me to say both his trucks broke down and I had to arrange to come get my items in storage. The items were in San Antonio Texas and I had relocated to Maryland awaiting my furniture. I had to arrange for a different company to go get my furniture from their storage. The second company I hired to pick up my household goods stated it was not packed or placed to prevent damage. Alex Garcia would not reimburse me for having to pay another company to go get my furniture. The cost for me for the second company was $3500 to go get my items and take them to Maryland which was the agreement for Dependable Movers to complete. I did not expect Alex to reimburse me $3500, I was asking him to pay for the $1500 difference it cost me. I filed a complaint to the Texas Transportation Department who handles consumer complaints. I am shocked Dependable Movers are still able to have a business. In looking at the reviews all they really did was change the phone number. Alex runs the business from their home with his wife Alicia who does not help at all when she does answer. If you are looking into using them for a move you may get a cheaper quote but chances are high that you will experience poor service as I and many others leaving reviews did. I would not recommend them to anyone. |
