I hired Takeaway Movers on December 21, 2011. I ordered 2 trucks and 4 movers, and was given an estimate and was scheduled between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Instead of 2 trucks and 4 movers, I received 1 truck and 3 movers that finally showed up at 12:00 Noon. Of course they could not fit everything in one truck, which was the whole reason for ordering 2 trucks. I wanted the move finished in one day. Day two they show up with a truck that has a broken lift gate and no hand trucks. At my new house the owner and one of the movers get in a shouting match cursing back and forth. The owner threatened not to pay the mover and not to give him a ride home and they were threatening to beat each other up in my driveway. They are definitely the cheapest in town, but it was not worth the emotional toll it took on me or the scratches and dings to my furniture and walls. I don�t care about the money at this point, but I do want others to be warned about this company. |
