We first encountered Assisted Moving a little over 4 years ago. My in-laws were in their mid-90s and faced with a medical crisis where it became clear they could no longer continue living in the home they'd been in for 50 years. My wife and I live in another state, over 800 miles away. We had no idea what we were doing. Bryan and his company came to the rescue big time. At the initial interview Bryan was able to assure us that our task was not insurmountable, no matter how bad it felt to us. He told us how he went about the whole process step by step, making it clear that he really did know what he was doing. He even knew the assisted living facility we were moving the folks to, and was familiar with their staff. He walked us through the house, picking out which pieces of furniture would fit in which room, and even suggesting little things, like having pictures on the wall where they'd be seen when they walked into their new rooms. We arranged a moving day, and Bryan made it happen. A year later we were selling the old house. The in-laws had had a flea market booth for many years, and their home was filled to the brim (and beyond) with their merchandise, AKA piles of JUNK. We called Bryan back for another look. He went thru the house again, and Picked out several pieces of furniture that he thought might sell in his consignment store. After family had picked thru all the rest, Bryan's team came by with their truck and carted away everything. It was nothing short of miraculous. Bryan has a licensed real estate agent associated with his company (happens to be his brother, Ken) who took on the task of showing and selling the house. He listed it at the beginning of one month and before the end of the month we had an offer that we were happy to accept. We did the whole sale from out of state with Ken's help. It's now another two years later, and my father-in-law has died. Once again, we called Bryan to ask him to clean out the assisted living apartment. On very short notice, the week before Christmas, Bryan managed to arrange his schedule to get the job done. We couldn't be more pleased. Assisted Moving is a first-rate company top to bottom. If I could, I'd give them 11 stars because their service does, in fact, go all the way to 11. The only complaint I can think of is that it took forever for them to send us an invoice so we could pay them. They've gotten better at this lately. |
