For my move from LA to NY I researched Jet Lines Moving�Reviews seemed to be OK, but then reality hit. My experience was horrific, so don�t make the same mistake as I did. If you want to make sure your belongings don't go missing, stay clear of Jet Lines Moving The packing process was smooth, but then things went downhill. RED FLAG #1 Jet Lines Moving was late with my delivery in NY. Terrible responses when I called to about my delivery date�never got any definitive answers. RED FLAG #2 happened when my things finally arrived. All of my boxes were supposed to be labelled with numbers, yet many boxes didn't have labels upon delivery and it was difficult to get an exact count as to all of my belongings that were taken off the truck. The delivery guy ended up counting certain items (like a little garbage can) to make the box number come out correctly. RED FLAG #3 is the BIGGIE. I paid the movers in cash with a very nice tip. Right after they left, I realized something WAS MISSING!!! I had a large area rug that was rolled up with other items stuffed inside the rug. I immediately called the mover, but he wouldn't come back! Said he would check the truck at his next destination if the rug was there...AND IT WASN'T! It wasn't in the truck, it wasn't in my house, yet it was on the moving truck when they packed me up. Immediately complained to the main office and was told to submit a claim. They said that if the amount the claims department offered me wasn't substantial, they would work with me to see what they could do. Turns out the claims department offered me nada�nothing�so Jet Lines Moving came through with a LOUSY $50. $50 for losing MY items�$50 in exchange for me paying over $2000 for MY move, plus tips!!, and plus the inconvenience of having to submit a claim and a loss of an area rug that cost me $1200. Jet Lines Moving even asked me to forgive them for this, as they knew they had screwed up, yet not willing to step up to the plate and do the right thing. What an insult!! To make matters even worse, the 50 bucks came with a condition�..I would have to sign a waiver that said I would not file any complaints about them or write reviews about them on the Internet. Obviously, I chose NOT to accept the $50. For your own good, stay away from these creeps. |
