3/29/2011 i hired xpress van lines(also known as xpress movers and storage before reading these reviews...i hired them based on their hourly rate which was lower than most. i spoke with Paul on the phone who was very helpful. the next day i went on yelp and read these reviews and became very worried that i had made a horrible mistake!!! I called and spoke with the manager Jack who assured me everything would be fine and said that he would give me back my deposit if i wanted to cancel. he then gave me his personal cell phone number so i could call him if i needed to on sunday which was the day of my move. The day of my move it was raining and i called to ask if we should cancel. They said it would be fine and that they would be showing up at 9. Hugo and Jesus showed up 10 minutes early with a huge truck! They put mattress pads on everything and then wrapped them all in shrink wrap so nothing would get wet. They were amazing and so nice and really put me at ease. My experience was NOTHING like these reviews. My only complaint was that they don't carry change when you pay in cash...I also forgot to remind them that i was supposed to get 5% discount when i paid in cash...but that is as much my fault as theres. and that is the only reason i gave 4 instead 5 stars. You can be very confident in hiring them! Request Hugo! My only advice would be to make sure you have smaller bills:) YAY XPRESS VAN LINES!!!! AWESOME!!! Thank you so much- Stacy S. venice ca |
